Computer - internet issues - sorry for the delays

Thanx for the responses guys; good news! I managed to "acquire" the funds to get my computer updated. Once it has been done, I can have AT&T just turn my internet back on (I already have an updated modem - just couldn't use it as I have no ethernet card/ethernet port - only a USB pci card port, which is not compatible with the newfangled stuff).

I'm looking at about 3 to 4 days to get the comp out of the shop.

And no David, lol, it was an Alcatel USB speedtouch modem that burned out - I had dsl. My download speed was about 600kb per sec.

Since I can move data from my machine to here via my cd burner, I'm going to start up my new tournament scens and send them on very - soon - will take about 2 days. When my comp is fixed, I should be ready to continue on from there. This computer has some serious registry issues it turns out, that prevents it from running JTCS (and some other things) properly, for example the sound doesn't even work now.

When I tell my folks that this thing needs to work correctly (esp. after $500+ worth of recent work), they just say it works "good enough." Sigh. Very frustrating indeed - but at least I have a plan and timeline for fixing MY machine.
