I would just keep going..........the units affected are in the later turns...I think if you just exit them it will keep the hex clear. I am not sure the number of units will affect the overall outcome that much. Only other option is to reach an agreement with your opponent whereby you can hit them with real light arty to release them or start over. Ed is right once the bte file is set as far as I know it won't be changed by any new files from the scenario.
