Windows Vista

This thread is for helping people out who are having trouble getting CM to work in Windows Vista. Anything you can post here that would help would be appreciated.

I still use Windows XP, but here are a couple of quotes from another thread to get things started:

"You can use a hex editor on your Combat Mission Executables and change the file extension that CM puts on the file.
I have done this for All three versions and it works like a charm.
The game does not care what the file extension is when opening your turns for play. Feel free to email me if you try it and have any questions.

-Note: You can also simply do this manually by renaming the turn - remove the .txt , replace with something else. I choose the hex edit so I would not have to do this with every turn." - 107thCAV

Anyone else that knows some hints or finds a tip please post it here so we can help keep this great game going. We'd hate to lose players just because they can't get the game to work.
