Sorry about that, I wasn't very clear. The supply level doesn't drop during the scenario (unless you are playing one of Earl's referee'd games or something similar). I was referring to the base supply level in a given scenario.

If the supply level is high, I will be more likely to use my artillery in blind fire or speculative fire. If the scenario's supply level is low, I will tend to be frugal with it, sometimes to the extent of not firing at all for a turn or two to resupply as many arty units as possible for a big push.
