RE: World in Flames Redux
Hello Fellow Tourneymen:
Sir Thomas, AKA Sir Killalot, and I have completed our match.
This was a Major for the Allies, Thomas and I decided to fight on the bridges and that ended up with a lot of wrecks and no (passable) bridge. The surprise Stuarts were a surprise indeed.
Hopefully King Scud will exempt me from the regularly scheduled motivational beatings until morale improves...;)
Two things the early war Marines, or in this case Filipinos, enjoyed early war.
The pack howitzer, and yes, even the mighty Stuart. We had both.
Regards,
Subic Bay Dan

RE: World in Flames Redux
It came down to the final turn, but I was able to eke out a minor victory as the Axis over Kris' (VoteQuimby) boys.
I was pretty sure Kris was going to take the victory in this one. By sheer luck, I was able to pull together some reserve forces which I used to mount an anti-armor ambush and counterattack against his Stuarts that turned the tide in my favor.
The difference between a draw and a minor Axis victory came down to whether I could get my Japanese infantry over one of the two bridges in the south of the map without being massacred by artillery. On the very last turn, I was able to mount a Banzai attack across the bridge which pushed Kris' Philippine infantry out of the 100x VP hex.

Von Dondo and I have finished the scenario.
A major allied victory.
Michael fought like a demon, crossing the main bridge ...twice!
I was barely able to repel him.

Axis major win for Von Luck although John put up a very good stubborn defence. Off board artillery and numbers finally wore him down. Damn tanks appearing in my rear caused a lot of problems though nasty surprise.

Panzerjaeger (Peter) and I have finished our game.
A Major Victory for the Allies.
The Stuarts really were the key as Japanese infantry superior in this one.
But Japanese tanks, comparatively not so good...
Tough to get across the bridges for the Japanese player...
thanks,
Dale

Major victory for the allies in our games PawelM vs The Hemp.
As per Dawags comment, Stuarts are the game savers in this one.....

Round 11 Results:
I want to thank Deturk for offering to take a draw in his game against my brother, Mike, who lost his wife very suddenly in the opening turns of the round. When I told him what Dan did he was very moved. We have such a great club. Thanks Dan. Hopefully Mike will come back at some point, but for now I'll be taking his place.

Hello All,
dawags and I have just completed our match. A wild draw was the result with the game being decided on last turn. Dale's defense was masterful.

RE: World in Flames Redux
Hello Gentlemen:
Are there any ROEs concerning exiting units?
I ask because it may well come into play with the Gabr Seleh Gabba Yabba Dabba Doo scenario.
If you want to call me a chicken...I understand...
My brave lads have seen the elephant, soiled themselves, and deserve a chance to exit I say!
Regards,
Dan
