RE: World in Flames Redux
Hello Fellow Tourneymen:

Sir Thomas, AKA Sir Killalot, and I have completed our match.

This was a Major for the Allies, Thomas and I decided to fight on the bridges and that ended up with a lot of wrecks and no (passable) bridge. The surprise Stuarts were a surprise indeed.

Hopefully King Scud will exempt me from the regularly scheduled motivational beatings until morale improves...;)

Two things the early war Marines, or in this case Filipinos, enjoyed early war.
The pack howitzer, and yes, even the mighty Stuart. We had both.

Regards,

Subic Bay Dan

It came down to the final turn, but I was able to eke out a minor victory as the Axis over Kris' (VoteQuimby) boys.

I was pretty sure Kris was going to take the victory in this one. By sheer luck, I was able to pull together some reserve forces which I used to mount an anti-armor ambush and counterattack against his Stuarts that turned the tide in my favor.

The difference between a draw and a minor Axis victory came down to whether I could get my Japanese infantry over one of the two bridges in the south of the map without being massacred by artillery. On the very last turn, I was able to mount a Banzai attack across the bridge which pushed Kris' Philippine infantry out of the 100x VP hex.
