Is there a surefire way to determine if wooded areas are impassible to AFV's. CM1 easy, in CM2 I'm slow on the uptake and can't determine at a glance if its impassible or not. twice trying to set up a defense i "assumed that certain woods impassible and to my much chagrin Tanks came rolling thru.

RE: Terrain
I think the only safe way is to do it manually. Select a tank (or vehicle) and enter a movement command into the wooded area. The icon will then show you whether the terrain is passable. The quality of the result depends, of course, on how carefully you do this.

Personally, I am always amazed at the elegance and quality of spotting with which armored vehicles move through a forest area. In mud and when crossing a ford, the risk of bogging down is relatively high, but I have never experienced this in a forest area.  Tractor

yea that will work. however, when you're playing a QB, that luxury doesn't exist. I'm Playing a QB were the forest looked impassible. imagine my surprise when a platoon of tanks come waltzing through them. My Poor infantry were complaining loudly  Big Laugh
