b_Exclamation Mark  !!! Update your personal info !!!
I'd appreciate it if everyone could update their personal account info here at the Blitz, especially your email addresses. We're having issues with guys returning to the club after time away and not being able to access their old accounts.

To access your control panel, click on the crossed tools icon at the top of the site under the PayPal button and next to the log out icon. Then click on the account tab to verify your current email address.

Thanks,
Dave

I would also suggest that they provide email address when entering tourney so a player just has to go to page 1 to get opps email. They would be listed with the players when Scud or other Tourney directors when they officially start the tourney.

Scud sends an email to both opponents?
When you get the email from him you have the email address of your opponent?
Or, am I confused? Confused

When I send a tournament email I put both opponents addresses in the "to" address. Most email clients, like gmail, will display the "to" addresses and the cc's. I don't use bcc's.

There are a handful of members who aren't seeing all the addressees, leading me to believe their email client hides them. I'm sure there's an optional setting that will make it visible, but I can't troubleshoot everyone's email software; there are just too many. Zap uses Outllook (probably the free one...but which year?), Mark uses AOL (don't even start  Big Grin).

After 10 rounds, we should be close to where everyone already has everyone's email anyway, so the tournament email should be a mute point.

Keeping your club email up-to-date allows site officers to contact you for any reason, especially useful since many ISP block server-generated email coming from the Blitz. For those who can receive Blitz-generated email, having an up-to-date email address will allow them to reset their password if they forget it or are locked out of their accounts. That saves the trouble of having to get a site officer involved in finding the account and resetting passwords manually.

Im in the process of going to gmail. Microsoft outlook sends me messages that my free e-mail is in jeopardy if I dont upgrade.  Go I go to upgrade , it tells me I have to pay  a fee. to upgrade. Doesnt sound free to me anymore.

RE: !!! Update your personal info !!!
Phil, if you got an email saying your account is in jeopardy, it was probably a scam. I'm pretty sure Microsoft doesn't send emails like that. Be really careful clicking on links. If your Outlook has an upgrade button, that means upgrading to the paid version. The free version will upgrade automatically through Windows Update. I'm not positive, pretty sure, though.

Gmail is the way to go, though. It's great.
