It took two days for the Bulgarian offensive to really get going due to half the forces being Fixed until day 2, and the final assaults probably only succeeded due to isolation, but they worked.

Like with magic tricks, there's a very rational explanation. I'll describe my strategy after this round has been completed, to avoid spoilers.

Witblitz and I/Ricky B finished. Final score was 71 for a minor allied win, barely. One more expiring objective taken in time, or one of three 100 pt objectives that were in the front lines as of the last couple of turns, two with almost all disrupted defenders, would have pushed it to a draw. Losses netted to -79 which is what moved it from a draw. A tough battle.
