It's a Long Way to Tipperary - Round 4

RE: It's a Long Way to Tipperary - Round 4
I was Brancaleone's opponent in the game he mentioned. It was a hard go for the Allies as he said, but it was nevertheless enjoyable. It was a bloody affair to be sure. The comment by Many Mariuses on the Alt version is appropriate: "A knife fight in a phone booth"  Gun Fire MG

Comparing the two versions it looks to be a bit of a wash: Allied infantry gain HA ranged fire in the Alt scenario, and their assault values are higher. German infantry with the exception of Fallschirmjaeger and Pioneer units have HA ranged fire in both versions while their assault values are mixed: some higher and some lower. Both sides have higher HA values and ranges for armored units in the Alt scenario. VP values are also mixed. Victory conditions are exactly the same for both versions. So, I would expect similar results with the original version: between equal players, I would expect the Axis to manage a minor victory, possibly a draw.

I am still looking for someone to join the tournament. They will be eligible for the prize draw.

Since Steel God cant play anymore, must I wait for a possible opponent?

I sent you a PM. I am waiting for a day. If no one joins the tournament, I will be your dance partner. You should have your turn no later than the end of this weekend.

Thanks
