Bonjour Mis Amis,

          I am seeking an adventurous experienced opponent to play the Allies in a full campaign scenario ( #6 or #7 ) of the newly updated Waterloo Campaign. I have altered the scenarios by reducing stacking to 1050 infantry, 350 cavalry and 8 guns. . I have played well over a dozen games using these changes and have found them to greatly enhance a more realistic game .
I will be provide all altered files which will not harm existing files.

Just curious: Aren't prussians screwed now with a 1050 infantry limit? Their batallions are often about 600 to 700 men, so they have to fight with only a singe one whereas french can stack 2 batallions to easily outnumber them?

I have found that there are trade-offs. The larger battalions have a much greater fire power on both the offense and defense and especially on defense since they now they fire at 100%. Also the 2 stack columns are extremely vulnerable to artillery fire. In addition many battalions can detach  skirmishers to reduce battalion sizes plus by reducing stacking limits you enable brigades and divisions deploy much more in depth. Finally the major reason for reduced stacking is it eliminates the huge stacks of infantry and cavalry which are unrealistic in a 100 meter hex and that act like battalions of tanks smashing through anything. I hope this answers your question.
