Yes I use an old badger 150 dual action airbrush, the dual action allows you to regulate the flow of the air and paint at the same time, I don't do a lot of free hand with it but the spotting on the side of the 190 was done that way, I usually use a mask mask cut to what ever shape out of masking tape which I did on the wings and upper fusalage, I try and leave the edge of my mask up off the surface of the model maybe a millimeter or less this gives you defined yet somewhat soft edge.

					Great work Jim.
Lovely paint job.

If you are getting the itch to get back into modelling, I highly recommend Promodeller,
 http://www.promodeller.com/
Great bunch. Some incredible talents there, also beginners.
The vibe is positive, no rivet counters and no arseholes whose job in life is to never build or post a photo of anything...but just hijack threads and point out what everyone else is doing wrong...I hate those guys!

I would not be enjoying modelling so much without somewhere to post up pics of my finished work. The amount I have learned from modellers on that site in the last year has been phenomenal.

Anyway...your skills are very good indeed Jim, thanks for sharing.

Well I am glad this idea has been received well.

I am the same, I am getting back into modeling after a 10 = year gap. I just want some where to post some pics and thought this was a idea, my wife makes them be relegated into the dark regions of the house, lol.

Thanks Jason I'll check it out, I agree about the arseholes, I build because I enjoy it and I enjoy the subject matter who cares if its not technically correct
