First game.....well sorta!
Hi all

I'm looking for my first game for a LONG time, i dabbled with SB a few years ago but only played a handful of games so basically i'm a total noob (CM is/was my main poison).

I'm in the process of installing the few titles i own (ES, PW, AoTR and Tour of Duty)....starting with ES and PW so i can install those great mods (I'm a massive mod slut :cheeky: ).

I'd like a small scenario to get me started if SB has such a thing, preferably ES so i can get in some practice for the up coming tourny if poss or the new WaW mod once i get it installed.

If someone doesn't mind putting up with a noob and lots of daft questions just say here and we can set up something.

I'll play a World at War scenario against you if you like. Ask me all the questions you want. ;)

Cool.....first question is does WaW have to be installed onto a copy of PW or does it just require the PW disc to work?

I installed the mod to it's default folder and it seemed to work fine but i thought it required PW files to work? :conf:

Would be glad to meet you on the battlefield again and to play a WaW scenario too. If you have room for another one send over a file.

I have copied the PW files into a new folder and then installed the WaW mod. It is working fine.

Cheers

THere are a few ways to install it I think. If you just ran the install program, and put it in the default folder, then copy these files from your PW folder into the WaW folder and it should work.

- pw.exe
- all .dll files
- all manifest files

This is what I did, and it works fine.

Well as far as i can tell all seems to be fine with the mod so lets rock'n'roll. Big Grin

I had a look through the sc's and picked two small sized sc's....

The Red Devils of Bangalore

1995.01.01 Chechnya

Do either of you have a preference for sc or side? If you fancy something else then just say, i only picked the small sized games because i wanted to ease myself into the SQ games again. lol

I'll play Red Devils of Bangalore, no preference for the side. Click on my name to see my email.

Never mind the above, it's on the way. ;)
