			| Beginner manual
We need to have one of you brilliant players develope a manual for beginners. Perhaps in combination with others!
This manual shouldn't be a post, but something permanent so that any new player might access it.

I am still learning important aspects of the game after almost three years and 150+ reported games.

Op fire is only one aspect of the contest.

What might seem like simple things such as not advanceing loaded units too far and getting tranports the hell out of the way after unloading are not always understood by beginners or those that have played against the AI only.

I think the best advice I every received was to become familiar with the capabilities of your units and your opponents units in a given scenario (thank you Roadrunner).

Such things as the range of various artillery units, the fact that rocket launchers have both a maximum and minimum range; knowing whether a gun is fixed once unloaded or can move on it's own; making sure you understand whether a gun can only shoot at visible targets; ad infinitum.

Hell, I remember playing a scenario with a host of air support and thinking that I would destroy my opposition with this force (LOL).

The effectiveness of German engineers versus Allied armor has cost me a few games.

 Never leave a commander hanging.

Using halftracks as offensive units can prove a mistake, but not always.

There are dozens and dozens of general and specific advice many of you take for granted, but are often not considered by newbies.

I think there are beginners that often get discouraged when they lose game after game by virtue of rookie mistakes. This does not help us in promoting the game or the site.

I'm just hard-headed and despite only 17 wins in my first 100 games, I continue to play because I expect to become a better player.

A beginner manual would be fantastic. Perhaps as a PDF- file for downloading.

There is also a document in the Manuals folder that gives a few pointers.

					Great link Smedley.
Still be nice to combine all this information in one file/manual.

 Thank you once again,
