For those who remember, what a welcome contrast between Ed not mentioning the feat and the last person that purportedly acheived 1,000 games...
The difference is that Ed is a gentleman. Although he might disagree :)

Eric is right, the "hornblower" was tooting his 10,000 points, rather than 1000 games, but we old timers knew what you were saying
