Hello All,
Just a few thoughts on CS. My opponent Duncan and I just completed Huib's excellent scenario "The Breskens Pocket". It is a 65 turn monster scenario and it took us 15 months to play it. The game ended up a draw and it was joy to play. I lost hundreds of units and so did my opponent. Playing head to head through a long scenario is amazing. It is the strength of CS system. My opponent and I are playing all of Huib's Canadians in NW europe scenario. The great comeraderie and awesome scenarios made by the blitz members is fantastic. My hat is off to all blitz officers, support people and all the great members of the club. This club is what really makes CS great.
Thanks for playing "The Breskens Pocket" If you only knew how long it took me to make that map and how many historical maps I had to order... only to find that it was nearly never being played :chin:
Then again if a couple of folks really enjoy it, it is worth all the trouble.
I think that great scenario editor makes it great game. And players devoting their time in reasearch, design and scenario developement makes it wonderful!!!
There is not enough words of appreciation to express my gratitude to those people.
There are several scns (most of the bigger ones) I think can be played as a teamgame.
IMO most scns with multiple regiments could make teamgames or even multiple Batallions for smaller teamgames.
I have not tried any of my own scns as teamgame though.
Besides Einsatz der FGB, the other Bulge scns Jamming the Shoulder Part 1 and Part2 are probably also good for teamplay.
Others that come into view would be:
-Panthers on Hell's Highway
-Constellation Overloon
-Kampfgruppe Chill Strikes Back.
I'm still working on a scn that is especially made for teamplay: the "What if" scn if the Germans had actually executed Kurt Student's "Fall Braun" in support of the Ardennes Offensive.
