Ladder Question
On the ladder what is the ELO rating and what effect / meaning does it have? Sorry if this is something obvious but it is puzzling me

The ELO is a ranking system based on the chess ranking system but adapted for our ladder. Your ranking improves more when you win against opponents with a higher ELO than you and less when you beat opponents with a lower ELO.

If you look back in the message board there are some threads with a more detailed explanation.
