Is there anywhere a downloadable version of the MacNamara database, for scenario designers who wish to use it?

No, unfortunately not. That is something I keep control of because of the frequency of changes and additions and, most importantly, because of the amount of work involved with calculating everything.

That said, if you are making a scenario and you cannot find a value for a unit in the existing _Alt scenario OOBs then send me an email and I can provide you with ratings from the MNdb for a *few* units. I stress "few" because I wouldn't be able to provide ratings for every unit in the OOB, you will have to get most of them from looking at existing _Alt OOBs since I am extremely busy at the moment.

I can appreciate the amount of work, having attempted just such calculations. I like the US mixed tank batalion concept, but how would pure sherman 75s, Sherman 76s and jumbos be rated?
