			| Ammo resupply question
I'm sure Greybeard has already told me about this but i can't find where i saved his email.
Do units have to be adjacent to a resupply unit to receive ammo or is there a radius depending on the size of the resupply unit?

			| RE: Ammo resupply question
					Hello Guys,
Well, yes and no.. If you look at the game guide there is some info about ammo resupply..

ammo dumps/bunkers can resupply units at a distance of 2 hexes, although if you are 2 hexes away it happens at a reduced supply rate (In my experience about the same as a supply truck)

Ammo vehicles give full supply rate to units adjacent and in the same hex, but not 2 hexes away like dumps can..

ammo boxes seem to be very limited.. it appears that they only supply at the full capacity if in the same hex.. they don't supply much at all to units adjacent.. but they can be carried by helo, or most other vehicles..

Always wondered what it would be like to load a para transport full of ammo boxes.. most are going to blow when they hit the ground - with the usual effects on units nearby.. not sure if ot would be worth the cost.. :)

Interesting.Does it mean that if you have an ammo truck, it will reload faster if the unit to be reloaded is in the same hex than if it is adjacent ??

No, 1 hex or less have normal supply rate.

The effect of exploding ammo can be devastating. In the Iraq tournament I had two A-10's going down in flames from succesfull attacs on ammo dumps/crates whatever it was that hit them. :-))

Hi GuysYou should note that the speed of ammo resupply is dictated by warhead size as well as distance from the dump/ truck etc.
The further away you are, the slower it goes.
The bigger the shells, the slower it goes.

Also, IIRC, ammo crates/boxes can only resupply up to a certain size of warhead.
 I think it is 3...or perhaps 4.
 Check the Game Guide.

 Cheers
 Walrus

the best resupply rate is to place yor unit in the same hex as a ammo dump.seems to be the best, fasest method. anything else is going to be slower.
