Even though this is US Civil War artillery, it gives a great feel for the potential accuracy and terrifying sound/impact.  Assume Napoleonic would be similar.  Can certainly understand why units rout under artillery fire.

I guess the range at about 500-600 meters.  Second half of the video is from firing perspective.
