Are there any new custom scenarios that you put into the RS folder?
If you have, there might be a conflict in the game folder. It happened to me and I had to remove the custom scenarios one by one until I found the conflicted culprit.
Just move the files to your desk top one at a time and retry the scenario to see if the map shows up.
When you find that the game works then replace all but the last custom scenario files ... and then all should be well.
