Indeed, but folks are also unlucky enough to still get injured and killed by unexploded ordinance from that era as well, as what happened with a German road construction worker in December, I believe. I posted a link to an article when it happened....

Amazing how them bogs are able to preserve things entombed in them. I am equally impressed at the power of that dozer...pulling the tank and tons of resistance from the muck,roots etc.

I just saw an ad on the Military Channel (ex-Discovery Wings) for a show called Tank Overhaul (Mondays at 8 pm). It features guys who restore old beat-up tanks. The first 4 episodes feature a Comet, Panther, Sherman, and a Hellcat.
