The Blitz – Combat Mission Welcome Letter

Combat Mission Community Leader: raz_atoth

Welcome to the Blitz - home of the best Combat Mission ladder in the world. In a club this size with such a large player pool to get games from, you will have no trouble getting as much Combart Mission action as you can handle. There is nothing quite as exciting as testing your command skills against another human being, as you will soon find out.

Once you have registered here, you will be placed in a bootcamp area. In order to get out of bootcamp, you must finish and report a game. Then you will appear on the ladder.

You can find opponents easily by posting for one on this page under “Normal Threads.” Look at some of the other posts for examples of what to say. It is a good idea to include your skill level and the skill level of the person you are looking to do battle with. Click on
“New Thread” at the bottom of the page to post for an opponent.

Once the game is over it is customary here for the winner to report the game. Then the new game will appear in your record and the stats will be updated on the ladder.

To report a game, go to G3-OPS at the top of the page and click “report a game” on the dropdown menu. You will then be asked a few things about your game. Some fields are optional to fill in. Once you are satisfied with your report, click “Log the game result.” (NOTE: Only do this ONCE - if not, multiple game results could be logged - just be patient.)

When you get time, browse through our specialized CM forums found above the forum announcements. You can find many answers to your questions there. The tactical discussion area contains playing tips and screenshots from some of the best players in the world. Find new improvements for your game in the “Maps and Mods” section. Read the AAR/DAR forums to pick up tips. You can also join a tournament or test a new scenario. In our “Main Event” forum you can see how two veteran players go at it in a “play by play” format, from force selection all the way to the last bullet.

Feel free to post any general questions you may have under “Normal Threads.”

That should get you going - I hope you enjoy this club as much as I have over the years.
