O/T TRAVEL IN POLAND
Being now retired, and old, I have a bit of time to do some stuff I couldn't do when younger, and Madame has given me some time off to tour some parts of Europe that I want to see before falling off the perch. I am planning a trip Sept -Octand hope to be in Poland 3 -13 Sept. Trouble is, am having difficulty finding accomodation in a couple of places, mostly because of language issues on the various websites.

I wonder if there is any Polish Blitzer who would be kind enough to help me do some searching? Drop a line to [email protected].

Lucky you KK ! You should be able to see the Seeloew Heights museum not far East of Berlin where one of the classic great final defensive battles took place. In Berlin the Russian monument has 2 T34's and a huge staue of a Russian soldier. I tried to photograph it but there was a damned pigeon standing on the tip of his bayonet. As that was 10 years ago it should have gone by now!

What do You want to see. Old castles or maybe bunkers from World war II, Hitler's Eastern Front military headquarters "Wolfschanze" (Gierłoż) or just for example Warsaw Rising Museum. Just tell what is interesting You and I will Find something (I was Here and There) in Poland of course.
