Messing with the PDT
In the HPS games, can I change the amount of fatigue accumulated for moving at night? If so, how?

RE: Messing with the PDT
Had a quick look at the pdt file in notepad line 8 last value.

5
Campaign Chickamauga (Fall)
0
5 40 20 0 1 4
20 60
1000 8 25
3 3 6 6 12 12 28 28
1 1 1 900 5 20

Have a look at the Parameter Data Dialog using the game editor.

You may get an answer from gamesquad forums or the acw game club.

RE: Messing with the PDT
The last line appears not to control the night movement (10 point) fatique accumulation. It deals with the fatigue maximum level and recovery.

I will try your other suggests. Thanks.

RE: Messing with the PDT
Its the last line just before the weather entiries, or the last entry period if there are no weather entires in the PDT.

The PDT file must be a version 5 or higher to support this.

RE: Messing with the PDT
Thanks. So it appears that I cannot change it as the PDT file for Campaign Peninsula is version 3. Bummer.

Once the next update is rolled out for the game you will be able to...not sure when that will be, but it will certainly get another update before too long.

RE: Messing with the PDT
With the latest version of the PDT, can one adjust the visibility range?

My opponent and I are wanting to reduce it from 70 to 28 hexes in an attempt to reduce reaction time and, thus, simulate the communication time for an army hq to its sub-units.

Thanks,

RE: Messing with the PDT
My experience has been, if you mess with the weather entries during a game then the system reads the "next" line down, and things are not the way you want them to be.

The best thing to do is copy the PDT to a new name, make your alterations, then make the scenario you want to play point to that PDT file (but editing the scn file in a simple text editor) then start a new game...you should be in good shape then.
