That's interesting because I don't usually think of Iceland as part of Europe. Iceland and Greenland and Jan Mayen all seem sort of independent of any continental affiliation.

no we are not in the EU but we have are members of the European Economic Area.
One of the big debates in Althingi(icelandic parliament) is wether we should become full members.
If you search for europe on the internet and look for pictures you can clearly see Iceland in the upper right corner, ergo we are european Big Grin
