Hans Boersma passed away - k3mu - 01-29-2026 I apologize if this is the wrong place for this post—I'm new here and just found out that another user passed away almost 1.5 years ago. Hans Boersma passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 56. It's sad and 56 isn't that old... Man... :( Note: I'm working on a small research project with the old Battleground engine and came across this research paper by him: Quatre Bras: The Maps Use in Battleground Prelude to Waterloo Computer Wargame I searched for his name in the forums and found his username and website at: Netherlands Armed Forces ORDER OF BATTLE 1985 That's where I found the news about his death. I just wanted to let you know, that's all... RE: Hans Boersma passed away - Steel God - 01-30-2026 I don't believe there could be a "wrong place" to post a salute to the passing of a member of the gaming community, we will all be forgotten soon enough. I did not know the gentleman, but he was a gamer, and a friend to others here and elsewhere.  Rest easy Hans, you're struggles are over.
