Day of Days! - Crossroads - 06-09-2016 This monday marked the 72nd anniversary of the D-Day landings   As I was browsing through the BoardGameGeek market place, look what I found for a mere twenty bucks: Order placed!  Did you know: D-Day, by Avalon Hill, published first in 1961, was the first war board game to introduce an hex overlay over the map board RE: Day of Days! - Crossroads - 06-19-2016 I did a little AAR with the newly arrived box set at the Grogheads Boardgame forum >> LINK << I thought I'd try to see what happens if the D-Day landing would take place at Calais coastline, as the Nazis were made to believe. Well, it did not work any better than the 1943 Dieppe raid.  Word of advice: when made responsible for an Allied landing into Europe, never, ever land in Dieppe. You have been warned.
