Using JSGME for Alt graphics in PzB Normandy - Pinetree - 01-07-2016

Hey guys,

Just got the game a couple of days ago and the first thing I do is see what I can do to mod it.  Big Grin  The first thing I did is get all the alt graphics that are spread all over the folders and package them for JSGME so it's easy to swap files in and out. Very similar to what the devs did for JTCS. Here's a screen shot:

Would anyone be interested in these repackaged files?

Hi Pinetree,

Thanks for picking up the game!

I'd be interested to see what you have done - I can then look at how we can semi-officially support the JSGME system out of the box going forward - allowing players to actually use a lot of the material already included with the game. As your screen shot shows much of this is only shown in the Designers Notes and a simple way to make it more accessible would be great.

Thanks,

David

No worries, here you go:

Just extract into the mods folder.

I've been using JSGME for years in my JTS games.

It is a real handy tool.

For anyone interested, here is a link to a walk through of how to install it.

Thanks Pinetree.

I learned to use JSGME years ago in racing and combat flight sims. I even use it in my day to day AutoCAD work :)

Well outside the "classroom" in the real world we have to apply technology to day to day tasks Wink TEEHEE

I use 3 different databases of fire protection piping and fittings. The other folks at work manual go into the fold and
delete or rename the database files. I thought one day that Jones can do it and now do it with a click or two on my desktop
screen Big Grin

As for SB games? Sent me one and I will gladly reply LOL

Hi Peter,

I've been lurking here on and off for years. I was even in the CM ladder many years ago. I probably won't do too much modding-wise, I've got much to do on other games, Smile

I noticed an error with the files I sent, the VP embossed and plain folders were reversed. Just rename them.
