Looking for a mentor - Ozgur Budak - 02-22-2012

Hi guys,
Just joined the SP ladder for some variation. I am looking for a mentor to guide me through the pbem world of SP. I have SPMBT (CD version) with 5.5 update. Any veterans to help?
Best
Ozgur

Come on boys, lets show Ozgur that old Steel Panthers camaraderie that use to be so evident, surely the spirit hasn't died? I know there are vets still active here.

I would gladly mentor. But I have many games left. If no fellow veteran I can offer one or two battles short and small as a mentor.
regards

Welcome to SP Ozgur!

I am a Newb with SPWinMBT and have never played it PBEM and only a couple of times vs. the AI...or I would volunteer a game (of course it has the same mechanics but the units and equipment are entirely different...and played different especially the more modern stuff)

...You need to get WinSPWW2 if you have not already (...maybe your WWII needs are fullfilled with SB). Not only do I want you to enjoy another great turn based, squad level WW2 game...but secretly and entirely selfishly I would love to see your scenario creation skills applied to WinSPWW2 :) (RV has hands down IMHO the best set of scenarios of any game I play)

Again, welcome and very glad to see you here!

Thanks Harry,
I dont have the CD version of SPWW2 and I can't play on 800x600 resolution so currently SPMBT is the only alternative.

Roman,
If you agree we can start a small combined arms scenario. Any preference?

Best
Ozgur

Hi Ozgur. You choose. Can be actual year (2012) or year old. Map 60x100 or 80x100. 3000 or 2000 purchase points according to year. 1 or 2 airs points.
Rules:
- 1 sniper per company
- 1 scout team per company
- 1 team AT per company
- arty on map 10%
- No bombing in first turn
- No excesive z (fire suppression)

The result of battle will be draw because is a battle of tutor. No matter how the real outcome.

Good stuff, thanks guys. Roman, let me know when you start your game so I can award you the mentor points. BTW - if Ozgur wins he gets to record that win, you get the result + points for mentor (see mentoring sticky)
