M1 Garand vs Mp40 - raz_atoth - 08-09-2011 In the left corner we have an american GI armed with a standard M1 rifle.In the right corner a dreaded hun hiding in the trench with a MP40 in his hands.The distance: about 5 meters give or take... Of course man factors involved like is the guy with the M1 a green recruit, nervous and thus more likely to not take time to aim properly? Is the German trooper a veteran, calm etc.? All these types of factors can come in to play. Based on volume of bullets alone at that range and all other factors being equal, I'd say the trooper with the MP40 will win.
