First taste of battle... - Jim von Krieg - 12-03-2009 I have several battles ongoing since my return... All are still early... I'm sneak'n and peek'n... Duck'n and roll'n.. Slip'n and Slide'n... and not had much shoot'n outside of the unfortunate scout car stumbling into an enemy scout car... Or a long range tank sniping duel... Until today... My first real close in dust-up came via e-mail this morning... I couldn't believe it... OPFIRE did some real damage as my foe rolled into the kill zone and kept coming as they gobbled up the VP hexes... And that was just the replay... then my forces finished off most of the survivors... one lucky tank platoon retreated under a hail of fire... the others... well... let's just say they won't be troubling me any more... Still a lot of fight to go, but a good opening volley... Wow, I was sweating the reliance on OPFIRE... but it appears in the right circumstances it can really deliver a smack down... Of course, I also recognize something that may prove valuable for the future... I think my time away has instilled a little more patience on my part... I was always in a hurry to quickly subdue my foe... Now, I feel like being a little more devious... Bwu Haa Haa... Then the wife came in and said "NO WAY":mad:........oh well i tried:P RE: First taste of battle... - Larry Reese - 12-09-2009 Do it while she is asleep. I was thinking I could mount a 42 inch panel on the wall behind my cradenza and just use that as a monitor/TV/photo/picture. Also frees up desk space. Now, the only problem is ... MONEY.
