Close assault problem - Oberst - 12-29-2008 Am currently playing Parrying the Thrust with Matrix disc and have recently downloaded the most recent upgrade for the CS with Matrix. Have encountered the problem that close assaults are not working for either the Axis or Soviet side. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Gil RE: Close assault problem - Big Dawg - 12-29-2008 Gil, Please search MB both here & at Matrix for what is referred to as "new assault rules", or extreme assault rules". Assaulting is most difficult unless they are disrupted and have lost most of their strength. You must weaken them even after disrupting them to have much success. You have the option of playing with either of the rules old-Talonsoft or new-extreme. Also note the armor strength is less when firing in a city/town hex. Have you found the hidden AT guns yet?
