Most of the time I just see a few at a time but every now and then I'll spot a big bunch like this. This past spring one flew across the hood of my truck as I was driving down a back rd. Actually there pretty smart Birds. We have two Turkey Hunting Seasons here in Vermont. You will see flocks of 10-20 or more up untill the Day before season starts, then not a one for weeks, what the hell do they do? E-Mail each other?
