Gun ratings - PoorOldSpike - 08-05-2007 GERMAN An at-a-glance series of charts comparing gun capabilities. Example -the 128 ATG has a phenomenal penetration of over 200mm with AP-shot (red dot), but less than 100mm with HE (green dot). Note - some guns could fire a mix of shot, but tungsten and hollow-charge were often not available early in the war. Note - yellow asterisks denote low-velocity guns (under 400 metres per sec muzz velocity), and were inaccurate at longer ranges. RE: Gun ratings - Extraordinarius - 08-06-2007 A note on the German infantry guns: The Germans introduced an improved 75mm hollow charge round in late 1944.
