Reporting unlisted game - K K Rossokolski - 08-10-2006

How does one report a game from the Scenario database, but unlisted on the Report Game process? Game was Onto the Rhine, huge, needs a lot of work to be playable IMHO

Cheers

Hello,

One can do it two ways:

1. Add scenario to database and then report it.

2. Ask scenario designer to upload it into H2H productions. I would recommend that approach as you said it requires lots of work

Slawek

I would say there's a 3rd way and in this case that may be the best:
report it as "scenario SM*" (probably 10 as you mentioned the scn was huge)
We don't need more half playable / no good scns in the database. Another option would be if the designer brought it to H2H section and you would get the points by filling out a test report. Only useful if the designer is still working on it.
From what you described I would say log it as SM10 and forget about the scn.

There are only five Size Mod generic game reports. SM1-5. I think that Slawek's way is best for now?
Seemed to work too! ;)

Which is normal, Steffen as SM for CS games range from 1 to 10.

What Ed was reffering to was the Scenario SM1 to Scenario SM5 from scenario database.

Hello Ladder Men,

Actually shouldn't generaic scenarios SM6 through SM10 be added?

So that we can report a large genaric scenario if need be?

Thanx!

Hawk

Hi guys,

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a generic scenario?

Rob

Smedley old chap -you're a farmer. A generic scenario is quite like a GM crop, only different.

RE: Reporting unlisted game - Herr Straße Laufer - 08-12-2006

Hi Smedley,
In the past, when games were playtested but not uploaded into the dBASE, there were five categories added to the game reports area. Senario Size Mod 1-5 allowed players to report their games that were not in the dBASE. It's like using the "Blitz Shadow player to report a game against when a teamgame is mismatched.
At one time there were only five size mod categories for CS.
It's kinda outdated with the new H2H system that is in place.

I have been looking into this and will bump it up to a higher level. At the moment no changes will be made for the higher "generic" size mods.
