It is a tie, the tournament will use DDR. I would like to apologize to the entrants for not accounting for the default rules and DDR when organizing this tournament. It would have been better to have stated this prior to people registering for the tournament. Given this, I felt that voting on the use of DDR was the best way to make the decision, instead of a unilateral decision by the organizer. I trust that those that were against are ok with it going forward. All future tournaments organized by me will have DDR as a default, unless there is a technical reason not to. As per a suggestion by Liebchen, I am going to spawn a new thread for each round of the tournament. Please see the thread, Winter operations - Kharkov '43 Round 1 to be posted shortly. One idea is, 1 for Major loss, 2 for Minor loss, 3 for Draw, 4 for Minor victory, 5 for Major victory or 1,3,5,7,9 something like that. Everybody scores something positive just for playing. Easiest math. Everybody plays same scenario each round. Balance doesn't matter. Nobody sits out, no team play. That should be a separate Tourney where all scenarios are played with teams. Allied player points are compared to Allied players only. Axis compared to Axis only. Two winners, one Axis and 1 Allied. Say, I play Big Ivan first round, second round keep Allied players in place and rotate Axis players one place up or down. Next round, do it again same direction. Eventually, I rotate back around to Big Ivan. End of Tournament. Name - Axis vs Allies or all scenarios for a Campaign like France or EF 1941, 42, 43 etc Something like that. |
