RE: Flashing Sword of Retribution - herr_oberst - 01-19-2011 Thanks SNAFU, but the only one to blame is the German Commander... If only I had started the evacuation two or three turns earlier GD would have survived almost intact to fight another day. This is one of the great things about this game in general and this scenario in particular, the Fog of War prevented me to see the full might of the assaulting Russians, and the good results of the firefights thanks to the great quality of the defenders made me too confident. The ultimate results of tactical decisions are revealed one or two days after they are made. RE: Flashing Sword of Retribution - enigma6584 - 01-20-2011 Extremely well said herr_oberst. It trully is the strength of the panzer campaign series. One does feel as if they are on the staff of an army. RE: Flashing Sword of Retribution - Aditia Holdem - 03-19-2011 It is always very easy in these games to push for local tactical succes with superior German/NATO units, but in these extended full campaign scenarios it takes a very wise commander to keep his nerves for all those long PBEM turns. Hoping to see more of your AAR! |
