RE: A few modern campaign questions - Outlaw Josey Wales - 09-19-2022

What about stacking with higher HQ to get another bridge just like mechanized infantry recover their vehicles after being on foot? Just takes so many turns. As long as they are stacked with HQ. It doesn't matter if they move or not as long as they start and finish the same turn in the same hex. Maybe the same as low ammo and fuel.

A new update is supposed to be released sometime this year. I hope they fix all the bridge issues. Not only building bridges and maintaining them but blowing them up too. With all the firepower that units have in the game, it seems to me blowing bridges would be easy. Especially when you consider nuclear weapons.

Another few questions, this one concerning supply

1) Are supplies exclusive to nationalities? IOW, can a West German supply truck resupply a US unit? There is some commonality among NATO formations in terms of equipment (example: British L7 cannon used on M1, M60 and Leo 1).

2) Does a captured supply unit give the captor any benefit other than denying said supplies to the enemy?

Supply units are for a side, not just its nationality. At least the manual only mentions sides for the supply units, and from experience, although it has been awhile, that is how it works.

Per the manual, and again experience, a captured supply unit will result in having half its supply points converted to a friendly supply unit. So capture a 50 point supply you will get you a 25 point supply unit for yourself.
