I have a copy of Pac War Admiral's Edition and never could figure it out. There are too many charts and too few visuals. The naval movement doesn't seem realistic nor does the land & air combat. Is there any large strategy game out there for 1941-45 that is playable, with a good map and visuals? Thanks , jonny
Maybe take a look at WarPlan Pacific

Looks interesting. Have you ever played it? Admirals Edition was unplayable for me although I know there a plenty of fellows who like it. What am I missing? I played out a few surface battles and it seemed like it was all about numbers. If the USN had superior numbers they won, even at night. Neve got the hang of naval movement. jonny

Well I bought it and started it but not had a lot of time to do much more than that.
