This new mod is based on a true marvel of cartography, the 1777 Ferraris map of Belgium. A map of impressive detail and accuracy, said to have been used by Napoleon during the Waterloo campaign.

I have tried to adapt the aesthetics of the map, within the great limitations of the game's graphics engine and my limited competence in graphic design, seeking to improve the appearance and readability of the game's maps. I have also taken the opportunity to improve the units mod, adding the missing view. I hope you like it and do not hesitate to comment on the aspects that could be improved.

EDITED:

I have updated the "Seven Years War Ferraris mod" to be compatible with the new version 4.02.
I also include a trial version for "The Great Northern War" and "Renaissance". Unfortunately, since I don't have the games, I haven't been able to check if they work. I await your comments to make the corrections of errors.

In all cases, the mod is installed by copying the corresponding Map folder to the chosen game directory. In SYW they replace Unit symbols
Block. In GNW and Renassaince they replace the unit symbol "Alt". This is a purely personal decision. it can be changed by renaming the drive files.

Beautiful!
It's really really beautiful, Aoi99. A really superb work. Fantastic artwork. Hats off to you!!!!

For some reason it doesn't work in the Napoleonic titles - the updated titles, I mean - are the graphics files now slightly different to 7YW? Shame. But it looks really beautiful in 7YW.

Ferrari's mapping covered the entire Austro-Hungarian empire, by the way, not just Belgium. On the Belgian site you can browse the entire map (for free). Mapire.

The map mod is exactly the same as the Napoleonic but the pack includes the 7YW unit graphics files that are incompatible with the Napoleonic games. Although it can be used, replacing the unit files, it is best to download the specific Napoleonic mod that is included in the corresponding post: https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards...#pid443637
Wow, this is great!

Got it! Excellent stuff. Again, many thanks!! Ferrari would be proud.
Beautiful! What else can I say!?!
Both the map itself but also the 2D-unit symbols! the latter is FAR SUPERIOR to the original game content!
Well done! Great job!

Cheers from Sweden!

Your work should be included in an official update of the game! The same with your Napoleon-series mod!

Thank YOU for making both of these mods!  Smile
Would these 2D-counters work for the American Civil War and Early American War series games to?
