Hi all,

I've recently got hooked on the JTS ACW series.  I am playing a campaign and have a question that I am having trouble finding an answer.

I know the command to remove units from map is usually used for exit hexes.  However, the option exists whether they are on an exit hex or not.

My question is this:  In CAMPAIGN mode, am I able to remove from map and then get the units back later in the campaign as reinforcements, or is the unit gone for the remainder of the campaign?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry that I don't have a ready answer for your question, but you may get an answer quicker by posting this question in the ACW Section of the Black Powder Forum.  Best of luck
They will appear in the campaign the next time they're scheduled to be there. I'm not positive on the strength though.

Even if a unit is entirely eliminated in a battle, it returns as a small cadre in the next battle. In this case, I'm not sure if the game saves it at its withdrawal strength, or treats it as zero and you only get the cadre.
Thanks for the responses. I suppose there is nothing like giving it a go, taking notes on the units statistics at time of removal, and see what happens if/when they come back. For science!
