HPS has just released the second game in the Marching Eagles series - Marengo. Building on the Waterloo game mechanics, Marengo has a new set of units and maps depicting battles from 1796 - 1800. In this game France battles the Austrian Empire. Marengo includes a full replay of the opposing player's turn in E-Mail mode based on Line of Sight. Artillery fire has been adjusted to more accurately reflect its impact during this period.
Scenarios include the following battles:
·      Caldiero (1796)
·      Caldiero (What If: No Snow Storm)
·      Caldiero (What If: Faster Austrian Response)
·      Castiglione (1796)
·      Casteggio/Montebello (1800)
·      Marengo (1800, 8 am)
·      Marengo (1800, 10 am)
·      Marengo (1800, 6 pm)
·      ...and more!

Check out the screen shots on the HPS web site.

nice!! I will have to check this out.
Anyone had a chance to play this?

I'm debating whether to get this or the John Tiller game of the same campaigns. Quite a bit of difference, from looking at some videos. the Marching Eagles games have area movement and actions, while John Tiller is hexes.

If my intent is more to learn the history of the battles, I'm guessing the John Tiller version would be the way to go.
