Full Version: Unit Cards Question - 1/118e?

I understand how to look into organization and seeing who belongs to which leader, but one thin I don't quite understand is how to interpret the unit cards fully. In the link below, you will see some brigades listed as 1/118e, 2/118e, and 3/118e. Obviously these units are related at another level, but the meaning of 1/118e confused me. What does the 1 stand for, and what does the 118e stand for?

Battalion number/Regiment number

For example 1/118e is the first battalion of the 118e regiment of the 1er brigade of the 8e Division of the Army of Portugal
