When playing these mega campaigns I feel the need for a " save by coordinate " option, or a " resume game by coordinate " option.
Family, time and fatigue have led to me saving the file halfway thro, prior to leaving the property or going to bed, resulting in hundreds of mouse clicks returning to the point where I left the game.
Maybe I'm missing something, currently playing France'40 campaign.

I keep a scratch pad right next to the computer and when I stop for the day midturn I just make myself a note as to where I left off

Sure, that's what I do, but is this for a small or medium scenario or a MEGA campaign with several thousand units.
Clickity, click. click clicking hundreds of times to the point where I want to resume the game turn.

Agree completely with Lowlander. It is quite the pain to go through the "N" key 100s of times just to get where you left off.
