I can't help you with those particular downloads but the thread
here has a lot of useful tactical suggestions and I think it may include a reposting of at least one of those original articles.
The problem is that when I took over TFE4, they were using The Wargamer as the host for their files. I managed to move a lot of them over, but not everything. It looks as if the link to the FTP site is bad. I really don't know anyone over there any longer, but I'll see what I can do. No promises.
I'll find those articles. PM me your EMAIL address.
Got in touch with folks over at Wargamer. Those files are gone. Might be the end of the line for TFE4 since I probably lost well over 1/3 of the content.

Sorry to hear that, wish I could help - those were some good reads. I lost most of my digital creations in a computer crash a few years ago so I know the pain.
Do you remember Tallin? For some reason I get the feeling he may have something.
