Hi all

Finally upgraded from old Windows XP SP3 PC, to new Windows 10 PC.

Installed JTCS on new SD HD in new PC. My old HD is also installed in new PC containing my old installation and files.
Everything works fine from new install. , except that when I transfer my saved game .btl files to the new HD install , they dont work ("error reading battle file).
Test game save (.btl) in new install works fine.
Have only basic IT skills: tried to run game in XP SP3 compatibility mode, but no luck Helpless .

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Jacques
If installed to program files folder in Windows 10, this sort of thing will happen. If so, you will need to install into a different folder, such as c:\JTS\ game folder or something.

Uninstalled / deleted everything CS I could find from both HD's.
Fresh install from JTCS disc v.1.0 .
Followed directly by  v 2.02 update.
C/matrixgames/JTCS/...

Menu screen opens but anything from there doesn't respond. Tried opening from WF, EF, RS .exe files directly.
Error: " application failed to start because side-by-side configuration incorrect ".

Any ideas what this means; fix?

Thanks
Jacques
