Full Version: Minsk 44 Gold map problem

On the 2D map for scenario 0623_02 Operation Bagration there are a number of errors on the map for anti tank ditch placement. They all seem to be in the German 78th Division area. The 3D map is accurate. I am using the Gold 2.01 version. I have been told that there is a patch that Strela has posting fixing this problem but I can not seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

As described it sounds more like an issue with 2D art files, if it is showing up correctly in the 3d version.

305,96   and others in that area ... missing graphic in the 2d files all the way. Nice catch, Bioman. Cheers6

... Or is it?... there definitely is no 2D type terrain -as when the graphics changed from one style to the other (HPS to JTS, in other words prior to WDS is my guess), what had been the line on the 2D Hexsides that called Anti-Tank ditches had been the last row of the file - and now it looks like that row has been used for something else (elevation change hexsides ... I think).
Guys, I'll have a look. This sounds like a 2D graphics issue. The tank ditch will be there but they sound like they aren't showing properly.

Got it -- it is a missing row at the bottom of the 2D hexsides graphics- I assume it wasn't on the ones you were even handed- since I don't think I saw it on JTS' version of Salerno.   These don't conform to the last row that you have -but are rather in the pattern of the canal hexsides (pretty sure anyway ... am using the original HPS stock version as a guide).

Edited ... although maybe not precisely ... seems like a potential draw order issue - be sure to have a look at some hexsides in the area - I got most to show up, but not all. They are definitely called from the row below where the current 2dhexside100.bmp file stops. I assume the same pattern would be true for the 50 size file.
Hi,

It's working in my version which makes me think I realised this in Kursk and retrofitted it into Minsk.

Find attached the 2D Hexsides in 100 & 50 size. Unzip into your map directory under the Minsk installation directory and overwrite.

I think that nailed it David - many thanks. :)

That seems to have solved the problem.

Thanks!

Same problem in Kursk. Check out the AT ditch in front of Prokhorovka, for example. Will those files also fix that? I'll try it.

Further to that. I tried it. The ditch is now barely visible, no?
