I am unsure if anyone is interested in an AAR against the AI, or from a new person that is not part of your group, but here is at least part of me playing against the AI in the Calvados coast scenario, all 3 British beaches and the Paras.

I should have started this a couple turns earlier, but oh well.

Gold is going well so far, I smoked King Red so virtually no casualties there, but had not realized how bad Jig Green was going to be, enormous casualties on that beach. Seemingly the Canadians understood the value of engineers more than the British, I think Juno has twice as many engineers as Gold. You kinda just have to take the mine casualties. I think the entire German center will fall in the next turn or maybe two, so I am pleased enough here.

On to Juno beach.
I smoked out Nan Red here since I had so few units in the first wave. Despite the lack of smoke at Mike Green/Red I have enough units there that I think I will be okay. I guess I am pushing to get Bernieres sur Mer first to control the behind the beach road to flank his edge defenses. Just getting started here though.

And Sword beach. Hoo boy did i underestimate the Germans here.
I used no smoke here and we payed for it with many dead engineers and the loss of 10 AVREs so far.
Frickin Germans aim only at AVREs and engineers!

Queen Green is going well enough so I think they will be able to rescue the commandos next to them who are being savaged but the real problem is the disaster of Queen White/Red. The casualties have been heavy and all Germans facing them are in -40% pill boxes so I have not really dented them.

My original plan was semi historical, get to Pegasus bridge and save the paratroopers. Don't know if that is going to happen! Kinda hoping Juno save Sword now.

And the paratroopers. For my money the 6th airborne scenario and the portion involving 6th airborne in Calvados coast is among the most fun scenarios in the game.

You can't see it but the Canadian battalion is trying to grab the Merville battery just off this map. I am being pressured much more than I had expected so I think I may have to pull the couple battalions furthest east (Canadian and British) back towards Pegasus. I actually have my doubts now that I can even hold the bridge as my losses among the glider troops have been massive and he constantly mortars my AT guns on the ridge.
I entrenched the AT guns early to protect them, but it has not been enough. Also, I had to use the glider crews to parry a thrust from the north that I have no other troops to fight off.

In the darkness I was using local superiority to keep attrition in my favor but with daylight the German mortars and artillery have really cut my paras up.

Against a human I suspect you would have to be more conservative and pull back the eastern most paras at once to shore up the bridge defense.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask, and thanks for reading.

Mike
Small update for today. It is 9.00am and I am getting used to how this all works.
My paratroopers are screwed beyond all belief, I see no way of saving Pegasus bridge.

Casualties at Sword continue heavy, but I am starting to make progress. One Bunker fell last turn and 2-3 more will fall this turn. I had not realized the Canadians had landed so much later than the British so Juno is still just getting started.

The glory is at gold, the British did not land as many engineers but they had piles of engineering vehicles, lots of troops and the German opposition is light. Anyone who says Rommel was a genius needs to look at his dispositions around France in '44. It is simply incompetent.

I used a fair amount of smoke at Gold as i had assumed the opposition was heavier so that helped even more. Look at this scene of 9.00am glory!

Very interested to follow this AAR, particularly as you’re a new player.

Glad you worked out how to insert and show an image!
