Five hours of intense work by a perfect incompetent (me) to achieve this mediocre result, but which allows me, finally, to easily see the difference in height...

Now, it's time to push Autrians and to loot Italy.

PS : the mod is this one of Philippe : https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards...?tid=70977 I just modified the slope. Of course, it's very raw :(

That's a pretty clever idea!
Can we get it anywhere?

I'd be interested in it too, if you don't mind.

Also, if you would like, send me some screen shot examples and with your permission, I'll post the mod in our 3rd party NAP art mod section.

Actually, it's only Philippe's Marengo mod with my little bad design of slope, nothing more... The good work is Philippe ; the weird modification is mine.

(This must be used with "map contours".)

Maybe I have a "better" (less crappy) version. I'll look the next week on my other computer. But I insist, it's really raw and I'm the author only slopes down the image, everything else is the work of Philippe, cf. the link at the top).

In fact, I only open this thread because I thought the idea was good and someone could do something good with it.
Thanks for posting.

Your thoughtfulness, is what we are all about over here at the Blitz...trying to help other Wargamers.

Sometimes someone may view their idea as a "littlest thing", however, it could be viewed by others as a "big thing" especially when it helps others to be able to read the battlefield better.

So thanks for being willing to share you work with the rest of us.   Thumbs Up
Actually, I think it's quite a nice mod, and gives the contours a kind of nice period-map look, whilst also increasing clarity. Thanks!
I just added it to Leipzig...........I think its great.

thank you
this is obviously not compatible with the Civil War series.
